Environment Information
At Rill Architects we run ArchiCAD on macOS. If you work at Rill, this is your stuff. If you don't, but you work in ArchiCAD, you may find something interesting. Anybody else, I don't know.

Detail Tool JAM81 is accessed under the detail tool and can be used in place of 'Detail Marker JAM8'. More on detail windows here. More on the detail tool here.

The marker can be placed by any geometry method. I have chosen to use the hammer cursor to set the quadrant the tag will lie in, not the precise location of the tag.

The marker has a 'Editable Polygon' mode which can be turned on in the settings, or by moving the diamond node from the right to the top.

You have the option, on by default, of automatically displaying the drawing and sheet numbers in PlotMaker. The marker knows where in the set of drawings its detail has been placed. If you move the drawing, any markers referring to it update automatically. So cool. (Note: The number of any drawing in PM is determined by its position in the list of drawings under each layout in the Tree By Subsets panels of the PM Navigator.)

In Archicad, the ID of the detail is shown in the drawing space, and the sheet number is blank.
