On Land

Environment Information
At Rill Architects we run ArchiCAD on macOS. If you work at Rill, this is your stuff. If you don't, but you work in ArchiCAD, you may find something interesting. Anybody else, I don't know.

Attention: The only reason to plot instead of print is to send drawings out, until the print shops learn to print our PDFs without mangling them. DO NOT PLOT for archiving, or for printing in-house. PLTs look pretty bad when printed here. This method is offered as an emergency backup for when we run out of paper, or to print more sets than we can comfortably collate & staple ourselves.

I look forward to informing you that this technique is no longer needed.

Plot Setup: Same as it ever was, except: Under Paper, margins should be "Extended" rather than "Normal".

Don't change any Master Layout settings. Keep them ready to print.

Pens: Switch the pens back to our old plotting pen settings using this method. Switch them back when you are done. There are two PMKs in the Attributes folder on the Onion for this purpose.

Plot Dialog: (Comes up when you issue the Plot command, or click Plot Settings in Publisher) Make sure 'Spool Folder' is chosen. Click Plot Options and make sure the Positioning is center. This is very important.

You can now plot by issuing the Plot Command.

In real life, I recommend using Publisher.
