For the last couple weeks, spying on people, I've noticed separator lines showing up in framing composites. I don't know how this happened, but it must be my fault, but you still have to fix it.

This is what I'm talking about:

Bad

Good

Even worse, it seems the separators got set to pen #1, which is just extremely bad.

The display of separator lines is controlled within the composite. There is no way to hide the separators individually within the wall settings.

For framing walls, both separator lines should have the 'Hide' box checked.

For this setting to 'get through', the wall elements must have the 'Composite's Separator Lines' box checked. (Actually, all the boxes should typically be checked. Within the composite, the contour pen should be 15, and the background pen should be 50. Last time I looked these were fine.)

This should all sound sort of familiar.

Summary, what you have to do if your 2x4 and 2x6 walls look like the bad picture above:

• Fix the composites at Options -> Attribute Settings -> Composites.

• Fix the walls so the 'Composite's Separator Lines' box is checked.

• If you use Favorites, redefine the relevant wall favorites.
