On Land

Environment Information
At Rill Architects we run ArchiCAD on macOS. If you work at Rill, this is your stuff. If you don't, but you work in ArchiCAD, you may find something interesting. Anybody else, I don't know.

The toolbar in Finder windows is customizable. Certain customizations I have stuck you with, and when they malfunction, you need to be able to fix them.

The toolbar is the row of icons at the top of every Finder window between the title bar (with the title) and the status bar (with the item count and free disk space).

Any item can be dragged to the toolbar, creating an alias. Drag it to the end, then drag it wherever you want. To remove an item, drag it off.

On the View menu in the Finder, you will see Customize Toolbar. Here you can add shortcuts to other functions.

On the toolbar there is group of aliases to the server volumes (1 Projects, 2 CAD Resources, etc). When the volumes are not mounted, these show up as '?'. Click on the '?' and the disk should mount and the icon will become itself. But only in the current window. Inelegant.

If you get a warning that the 'item cannot be found', it is usually because the server has its maximum number of users connected. Come tell me and we'll find someone to throw off (usually me). If I'm not here, disconnect me yourself, or find another absent person and disconnect them.
