At Rill Architects we run ArchiCAD on macOS. If you work at Rill, this is your stuff. If you don't, but you work in ArchiCAD, you may find something interesting. Anybody else, I don't know.

It's about time. I was getting ready to ask what features people want in the next version of the doors and windows (Thinking very far ahead), when I realized there isn't a comprehensive list of the current features, which are extensive. So here.

Features Common to Doors and Windows

General:
Lite Cut
Optional Open in 3D
Insulated Glass
Independent leaf/sash and trim materials, interior & exterior
Three 3D Modes: Frame dimension, Jamb dimension, Schematic (a glass block)
MO dim Display
Extend frame in to cover furring wall (exterior openings)

Trim:
Width & Thickness of head and jamb casing, interior & exterior
Predefined interior & exterior casings
Exterior crown & head casing overhang
Interior crown, bead, & head casing overhang
Optional interior & exterior sill and apron
Trim int sill to casing edge
Optional 3D detail lines on crown and shaped casing
NOTE: The trim routines are designed to make it very easy for me to add casing and crown profiles. Ask for what you need. The worst that could happen is I ask you to draw the shape.

Use sill width to define MO; cleans up in all views
Optional lintel and sill with independent materials
Rowlock sill option
Optional section fills
Dividing lines for jack arch

Plan:
Automatic simple plan display above user-defined scale
